The Vermilion Voles vintage base ball club was established in 2003 and played its first season in 2004.  The club's first matches were played at Danville Stadium and in Danville's Lincoln Park before settling at it's permanent home field - Kennekuk Meadows - in Kennekuk County Park.  The Voles also travelled to St. Louis, Rockford, Decatur, Atwood, and Creston to play other vintage clubs in the region.

The Vermilion Voles were formed to provide a new activity for area residentss and a new form of entertainment for baseball fans throughout the resion.  Along with providing family entertainment for local residents, visiting clubs will bring their families and friends to spend the day in Vermilion County.
